The Patriots signed tight end Joseph Fauria to the practice squad, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.
Fauria is a 6’7, 259 pound tight end and this is a great signing.
He was undrafted out of UCLA in 2013, and spent two seasons with the Lions.
All Fauria did his rookie year was catch touchdowns with the Lions. He caught 7 touchdowns his rookie year, including a 3 touchdown performance against the Browns.
He’s a big guy with awesome hands and to be honest, I hope the Patriots promote him to the active roster sooner rather than later. He would be uncoverable with Gronk out there, and add one heck of a goal line target.
Christian Fauria, former Patriots tight end, is the uncle of Joseph Fauria.
