We are on to the Bills!

It’s time for the Patriots and the Bills to play one more time in the 2015 season, before ending this rivalry for the year. This time, it will be at home for the Patriots. The Pats defeated the Bills earlier this year, 40-32.

Home games tend to favor the Patriots, but if the Pats win it’ll be because they won one or all three of these matchups.

1. Bills Running Game Vs Patriots Run Defense

The Patriots have to stop the run. Bottom line and the number one priority of the defense, stop McCoy, Williams, and Taylor. They look like the Oregon Ducks out there with all that speed and read option stuff they run. It’s entertaining and fun and fast, so the Pats have to be disciplined and stay in their lane if they want to keep explosive plays on the ground from happening. If the Patriots, who are a much better run defense now, can take away the run, they will be fine.

2. WR Sammy Watkins Vs CB Malcolm Butler

Big matchup. Butler is coming off the performance of the season, holding it down against Odell, and he now faces one of the fastest guys in the NFL. Watkins is an excellent speedster who can take the top off the defenses, so he’s Taylor’s favorite target. McCourty will give Butler safety help, but if they can lock it down, Taylor will have limited options.

3. Bills OL Vs Patriots Pass Rush

The last time these two met, the Patriots sacked Taylor 8 times and Chandler Jones had 3 of those. This is a tricky one, they can’t over pursue him because he will escape for big yardage and if they leave a gap between the tackle and guard, he will be gone for first downs. You have to pressure him in the pocket and keep him there. The Pats knew how to do it the last time, so hopefully they can do that again.
