New England Patriots Super Bowl Champs

Patriots Vs Colts: Preview

The Patriots will play the Colts tomorrow night at 8:00 pm EST time on NBC.

The most talked about game all off-season will be in prime time, so all the fans no matter where you live will get to see this game on tv.

It’s a big game for one reason, it’s revenge time for the Patriots against the team that began the whole deflategate scandal that almost had Brady suspended for the first four games of the NFL season. It’s game on now, no more talking and wondering about what is going to happen.

The Patriots will look to run the ball against the Colts, something they have done well in the past against this team. The Colts can’t sell out to stop the run because of number 12 back there, so they will sell out to stop the pass. The Pats will have a good chance to get a good running game going early in the game. When they pass, they will have plenty of the short routes, crossing routes, and dump-offs to the running back open. They will move the ball by dinking and dunking. I think they will have a good mix in this game of run and pass.

The Patriots on defense will sell out to stop the pass, as they should. They will try to get pressure on Luck because that usually leads to turnovers. They have always done a good job at confusing Luck throughout the game. I think the Pats will put Logan Ryan with safety help on T.Y. Hilton, Rashaan Melvin on Andre Johnson, and Butler on Moncrief. Justin Coleman will be matched up with Phillip Dorsett while Chung will get Fleener and Collins will get Allen. Of course, these coverages will change to suit whoever is on the field for Indy at any given time. They should be able to stop the run, but that will be secondary to stopping the pass, something the Colts live on. The Pats need to get pressure I believe in this game to help their secondary out against some tall wide receivers.  Look for them to mix their coverages and bring the blitz tomorrow night.
