The Patriots are now AFC Champions and heading to the Super Bowl in Arizona.

The Pats totally dominated the Colts in every phase of the game last night and picked up the 45-7 win.

The Pats got things rolling quickly after Colts punt returner Josh Cribbs fumbled a punt and New England recovered. The Pats quickly scored with Blount and the route was on. The game could have been over in the first half, but Brady made a bad throw, forcing it to Gronk and getting picked off right before the half. That INT lead to a Colts touchdown, which cut into the lead 7 – 14. The Pats would add a field goal to take the halftime lead 17-7.

The Pats on their second series in the first half scored by throwing a touchdown pass to FB James Develin. That’s not the only different guy than usual that would get in on the action. In the 3rd, Brady would throw a 16 yard touchdown pass to left tackle Nate Solder. Yes, he threw a touchdown pass to an offensive lineman. Solder went out a few yards, turned and caught it and rumbled into the end zone.

Late 3rd, the Pats were up 24-7.

The Colts didn’t do much on offense at all, as nobody around Luck helped him out. Luck’s receivers weren’t getting open nor his tight ends, and he had no running game, and he wasn’t getting protected very well at different times during the game.

The defense for the Colts couldn’t stop the run and struggled at times with the pass, but the run killed them.

Before the 4th, Brady would hit Gronk, who had been bottled up for most of the game, for a 5 yard touchdown pass. Brady became 2nd all time with 3+ touchdowns in playoff games, behind Joe Montana.

Right after, Luck would get intercepted by Darrelle Revis, who returned it for 30 yards. The Pats would cash that in with a Blount touchdown from 13 yards out.

To start the 4th, Blount would score his 3rd touchdown of the game and make it 45-7.

Luck would get intercepted again by LB Jamie Collins and the game was over.

The Pats were impressive and came to win the game and did almost everything right in their win.

Notable Stats:

QB Tom Brady: 23/35 for 226 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 1 interception.

RB LeGarrette Blount: 30 carries for 148 yards and 3 touchdowns.

WR Julian Edelman: 9 catches for 98 yards.

OL Nate Solder: 1 catch for 16 yards and 1 touchdown.

FB James Develin: 1 catch for 1 yard and 1 touchdown.

TE Rob Gronkowski: 3 catches for 28 yards and 1 touchdown.

LB Jamie Collins: 4 tackles and 1 interception.

DE Rob Ninkovich: 3 tackles.

CB Darrelle Revis: 1 tackles and 1 interception.

Game MVP: RB LeGarrette Blount.

Blount did great again against the Colts in the postseason and lead the way for the dominate victory over the Colts. They could not stop Blount’s running ability throughout this game. He picked up key first downs and constantly moved the pile. The offense went run heavy and had success in the passing game when they needed to pass. Brady did great and deserves a mention but I’m giving this MVP to Blount. He rushed 30 times for 148 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was incredible.
