New England Patriots Super Bowl Champs

Colts Vs Patriots: Keys to a Patriots Win

The Patriots get the Colts for round 2 of this season and this time it’s for the right to go to the Super Bowl.

This won’t be an easy game because the Colts have a great offense and a good defense and this game will test the  defense of New England and the QB Tom Brady.

Here are the 3 keys to a New England win.

1. Protect Tom Brady: They have to protect Tom Brady and not let him get pressured and it’s really that simple. They keep him upright and comfortable and he should have another big game. He took a lot hits against the Ravens at times, but was protected fairly well overall and that needs to happen on Sunday again for him to have a good game.

2. Wide Receivers get open: The Colts took everything short away from Denver and forced Peyton and company to go long, so New England has to figure out how to beat that and it would help if the wide outs get open. It’s known Peyton and Tom are not the greatest deep throwers so the Colts are trying to force their hand. They did very well doing that against Peyton but they can’t let them succeed against Brady. The wide outs need to run their routes and get open or beat them deep and make good catches.

3. Stop the deep passes: The Pats defense can’t get beat deep because the Colts have deep threats. Wayne and Hilton, especially Hilton can get behind a defense and make big plays, as well as the tight ends for Indy. It’s important for New England to make life difficult on the passing game of Luck and take away his targets especially the deep threats. They do that and the Colts might not score a lot.
