Patriots sign RB LeGarrette Blount

The Patriots have signed RB LeGarrette Blount to a 2 year deal, the team announced.

Blount was released by the Steelers on Wedsenday, and resigned with the Pats this morning.

The RB was upset after the Steelers Monday Night win because he did not receive any carries. For some reason, he and the Steelers were not a good fit and could not make the union last, unlike the 2013 season he had with the Patriots.

In 2013, Blount was a big hit in Boston, and had great success with the Pats. Returning to New England will benefit the Pats and Blount.

In 2013 with the Pats, Blount rushed for almost 800 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Blount will join rookie Jonas Gray, and Shane Vereen on the active roster. The Pats other running backs include special teams ace Brandon Bolden and rookie James White.

Vereen is the pass catcher and Gray is the short yardage, tough running, and hard-hitting goal line back. Blount will be the home run hitter. He can break free and score from anywhere on the field. This move boosts the Pats running attack even more.

According to ESPN, Blount will get the veteran minimum plus incentives. The 2 year deal gives the Pats the option to keep Blount in 2015.

This is a good move by the Pats, a lot of fans were disappointed with Blount leaving, and now he’s back.

I just hope Blount brings the “selfie” celebration to New England.
