The Patriots completed their 12th practice of training camp, and were back in full pads today.

WR Aaron Dobson (foot), WR Jeremy Gallon, DT Dominique Easley (knee), T Chris Martin, RB Tyler Gaffney, QB Ryan Mallett, TE Michael Hoomanawanui, S Kanorris Davis, LB James Anderson, C Bryan Stork, LB Cameron Gordon, LB Ja’Gared Davis, TE D.J. Williams, DT, Chris Jones, and DT Sealver Siliga did not practice.

DB Jemea Thomas, TE Rob Gronkowski, and RB Brandon Bolden were back at practice today, but Gronk is still not taking part in the full contact drills.

Ryan Mallett did not practice today and was not seen. Jeff Howe, of the Boston Herald, believes it’s due to Mallett’s awkward slide during Thursday night’s preseason game against the Redskins. He has been wearing a knee brace since missing mini-camp and seem to tweak that left knee again. He was seen grimacing after the slide Thursday. Bill Belchick did not mention Mallett’s absence.

Jimmy Garoppolo had extra reps today as a result of no Mallett, and looked good. He connected with his favorite wide receiver Brian Tymes for a deep pass, and later connected with him for a touchdown during the two minute offense. Garoppolo did have an interception when his pass was batted in the air and L.T. Tulpulotu came down with it.

During one two minute offensive drill, Brady went 6 of 7 and connected with Danny Amendola on four of those passes.

CB Malcolm Butler, took some first team reps today. He was one of the only bright spots on defense last Thursday, and he’s been good through camp.

Newly signed free agent tight ends Ben Hartsock, Steve Maneri and Terrence Miller all practiced today.

The Patriots practice at 2:30 tomorrow.
