Patriots bring back Patrick Chung

The Patriots have agreed to terms with safety Patrick Chung, according to Tom Curran CSN New England.

The Patriots drafted Chung in the 2nd round of the 2009 draft and at first he showed promise.

Chung is only 26 years old, but injury prone, as he has missed at least 4 games in the past 3 seasons.

In 4 seasons with the Patriots, Chung recorded 7 interceptions, and  163 tackles.

He became a free agent in 2013 and signed a 3 year deal worth $10 million with the Philadelphia Eagles last March.

He was often a weak link in the Eagles secondary last year and appeared lost in coverage a lot, and recorded no interceptions.

He recorded 39 tackles and one fumble recovery last year with the Eagles.

Quarterbacks had a passer rating of  124.7 against Chung last season, according to Pro Football Focus.

Chung is most likely a safety depth signing and maybe a special team player, IF he makes the team.
