Rob Gronkowski, Danny Amendola present at Patriots practice

WR Danny Amendola was present at the start of Patriots practice today, but he was noticeably limited by a groin injury suffered in the team’s season opener that lead him to missing the Jets game on Thursday night.

The media proportion of practice lasted only through individual drills, but Amendola ran routes gingerly

The severity and nature of Amendola’s injury is not known, but according to Fox Sports, Amendola has torn adductor muscles in his hip and has gotten conflicting reports from doctors on whether he has a sports hernia. When he will return is unknown.

Tight End Rob Gronkowski was continuing making progress with the team, as he once again took part in practice today. He was a limited in practice each of the last two weeks. He is still listed as day – to – day.

CB Aqib Talib was not spotted at the start of practice, but the reason of his absence is unknown.

Special Team captain Matthew Slater was absent as well today, he has suffered a broken bone in his hand according to Ben Volin of The Boston Globe.

CB Alfonzo Dennard was also absent from practice today because he had not made it back from Nebraska where he attended his court hearing.
