New England Patriots Super Bowl Champs

Patriots only Mock Draft

We know there is a good possibility of draft day trades for New England involving them getting more picks but instead of trying to guess which, what, and how many pick they end up with, we are only picking their current 5 picks. Although I think a Ryan Mallett trade is highly possible in this year’s draft.

Draft Picks:

First Round: 29. WR Justin Hunter

Second Round: 59. CB Johnthan Banks

Third Round: 91. OL Barrett Jones

Seventh Round: 226. DE/LB Lerentee Mccary (might have to move up for him)

Seventh Round: 235. WR Aaron Dobson (have to move up for him)

IF this was to actually happen, it would be one of the best drafts I have ever seen. Now landing Mccary will be a steal, he is an explosive pass rusher from Florida. I don’t know if he would fall all the way to the 7th, but what a steal he would be there. I think New England will need to move up from the 7th rounds, maybe via a Mallett trade to Jacksonville or Cleveland for some draft picks. You never¬†know what will happen on draft weekend. I do think if New England takes a WR in the first they will take another, and wow what a pick if they could land Hunter and Dobson! Two big deep threats for New England would be huge for this offense. They would need some more picks to make it happen though. I’m not a huge fan of trading this year draft picks for next year’s because New England needs to be in the business of winning now, and using this draft to further their chances at another Super Bowl. Banks is a long shot that late in the second but it is possible he falls that far, if he doesn’t, then New England might take Tyrann Mathieu from LSU with the 2nd or 3rd pick.
