The Patriots have placed wide receiver Taylor Price on waivers.
A 2010 third-round pick (90th overall) out of Ohio University, Price had three receptions for 41 yards in one game as a rookie and has zero receptions in three games this season.
As originally reported by Adam Caplan of The Sideline View, the New Patriots have promoted offensive lineman Nick McDonald from the practice squad to the active roster.
The Patriots are going to be without offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer and interior linemen Dan Connolly, Brian Waters and Ryan Wendell are questionable for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Originally signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Grand Valley State in 2010, McDonald spent his entire rookie season on the Packers’ 53-man roster. McDonald did not appear in any games and was waived in September. McDonald has been on New England’s practice squad since the start of the season and had been earning an elevated practice squad salary of $8,820 per week.
