The Patriots wrapped up the first of two practices today at Gillette Stadium, and head coach Bill Belichick spoke to the media earlier this morning.

The New England Patriots released injury prone linebacker Shawn Crable yesterday.

The Patriots have place wide receiver Wes Welker, linebacker Shawn Crable and defensive lineman Kade Weston on the active/physically unable to perform list.

Two days before the start of training camp, the Patriots signed four new players yesterday.  They are veteran offensive tackle Anthony Clement, wide receiver Chris Dunlap, quarterback Kevin O’Connell, and linebacker Shawn Crable.  O’Connell was the 94th overall draft pick this year, Crable the 78th.
