Team Announces Official Opening of Training Camp July 24th
The Pats officially announced today that it would open its training camp in Foxborough at Gillette Stadium Thursday, July 24th. The Patriots will play their first preseason game at 7:30 p.m. August 7th at Gillette against the Baltimore Ravens. Here is the release from the Pats website:

PatriotsInsider.com reports that Pats has signed linebacker Bo Ruud, a sixth-round pick out of Nebraska. Ruud is the second of New England’s seven 2008 draft choices to sign, joining Matt Slater, a fifth-round pick. Terms of the deal were not available.
