New England Patriots Super Bowl Champs

It’s the Patriots and Eagles in Super Bowl LII; Pats Open as Early Favorites to Win a 6th Title

The Patriots opponent for Super Bowl LII in Minnesota in two weeks is set – as the fellow number one seed Philadelphia Eagles took care of business Sunday night in Philly, pounding the Minnesota Vikings 38-7.

It’s a rematch of Super Bowl XXXIX back on February 6, 2005, a game that saw the Patriots beat the Eagles 24-21 for their second straight title.

Oddly enough that day was also the last game for Patriots DC Romeo Crennel, and OC Charlie Weiss, much like Super Bowl LII will be the last game for DC Matt Patrica and OC Josh McDaniels as they will leave the team to coach the Lions and Colts right after.

The early sports book lines have the Patriots opening as little as 5.5 point favorites, and up to as much as seven point favorites.
