The Patriots Tuesday added defensive line depth by inking defensive tackle Ricky Jean Francois, Mark Daniels of the Providence Journal reports.

The nine-year veteran played for the Green Bay Packers this season, appearing in six games and making two tackles. He was released on Nov. 1. The 30-year-old defensive tackle has also played for Washington, Indianapolis and San Francisco.

A seventh-round pick by the 49ers, Jean-Francois played in San Francisco for his first four seasons. He then started 23 of 26 games for the Colts in 2013 and 2014. The defensive lineman spent the past two years with the Redskins. He has made 155 tackles and 12 sacks in his career.
