Patriots Cut Veteran Tight End Clay Harbor

The Patriots are turning the page early this week after an ugly 16-0 loss to the Buffalo Bills. On Monday, the team released veteran tight end Clay Harbor, Mark Daniels of the Providence Journal reports.

The 29-year-old Harbor played in three games this season, but didn’t register a stat. On Sunday, he only played on special teams (eight snaps). A move tight end and H-back, Harbor offered versatility and special teams experience, but the Patriots are loaded at the position right now.

The team still has four tight ends on the roster with Rob Gronkowski, Martellus Bennett, AJ Derby and recent signee Greg Scruggs.
