Jacoby Brissett to Start at QB for the Patriots Against the Bills

Jacoby Brissett

The Patriots will go with Jacoby Brissett at the QB spot for today’s game against the Bills at home, as Jimmy Garoppolo is inactive for the game.

Here’s the story from NFL.com

Jacoby Brissett will make his second career start Sunday when the New England Patriots host the Buffalo Bills

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported the rookie will make the start and Julian Edelman will serve as his backup. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (shoulder) is officially inactive for the game.

ESPN first reported the news.

Signs indicated it would be an uphill climb for Garoppolo to play this week while dealing with a shoulder injury. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported Sunday morning that Garoppolo needed a shot last week to practice and was limited to about 100 passes per day. The typical game day load is upwards of two passes.
