Sean Stellato, the agent for safety and spcial teams ace Nate Ebener confirmed the Patriots have agreed to terms with his client, Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald reports.
Ebner was a sixth round draft choice in the 2012 draft. The former rugby star and Ohio State alum has been a standout on special teams while providing depth as a defensive back.
He was third on the team last season in special teams tackles with 13.
“He’s happy to be back,” said Stellato. “He’s played 1217 special teams snaps in four years in New England. He’s put up some solid numbers. This was his goal. He wanted to be back. When you look at the definition of a Patriots player, he’s it, from work ethic, to skill set, to how he conducts himself.”
