Patriots Vs Broncos, Brady VS Manning, it’s happening again and this time, one more time it will happen in the AFC Title Game.

The last time Brady and Manning and the Pats and Broncos mixed it up in Denver in the AFC Title Game it did not go well for the Patriots. This time? We will see.

I don’t like the trash talk that’s been done mostly by the Broncos, but some from the Patriots leading up to this game or all the hype or the expectation that the Patriots will win from a lot of people. I don’t like worrying about if our main guys will get injured because of the “hit Gronk in the knees” talk which makes me think the Broncos might get dirty. I hope not, but still, they certainly are acting like this is a game of hate. Regardless, the Broncos are very good and a very hard out, but I can’t figure this game out, just yet. The Broncos could win, and the Patriots could win in a blow out, I just don’t know which makes this an interesting game. It’s in Denver which helps the Broncos, but does it matter with how each team is trending this week? I don’t know. It’s an I don’t know kind of week, but I do know the matchups you must watch this weekend.

1. CB Logan Ryan Vs WR Demaryius Thomas:

The first time the Patriots played the Broncos this season, Logan Ryan got the better of Thomas throughout the game with Brock Osweiler at QB. Ryan was physical with the corner and allowed one completion the entire game, so I’am assuming he will draw this matchup again with safety help from McCourty. He may get Sanders, but right now I think this is the way the Patriots go on defense. Ryan had a bad game last week so it’s important to the defense and the game that Ryan bounces back in a major way. There isn’t anybody behind him so they need his best every week and never more so than this week against a very good player. They have to take away the number one Broncos WR.

2. CB Malcolm Butler Vs WR Emmanuel Sanders:

The last time they met it was an okay game for Butler, but he did let Sanders make too many big plays against him. Sanders had the far better night that night, so Butler must be so much better this weekend. Sanders and Thomas get targeted by Manning more than anybody else on the Broncos offense and they are so quick for the shorter routes, so Butler has to be better about that, a struggle in the past. He must play faster in this game if the Patriots are to win and he must be physical.

3. OL Sebastian Vollmer Vs DE DeMarcus Ware:

Biggest matchup on the offensive line will be Vollmer against Ware. It’s the best for the Patriots against the best for the Broncos. The Patriots will treat Ware like they treat Watt, giving him the attention and focus he deserves, and being the one defensive player they try to take away. They have to take away his impact from the game because if they do that the offense will be fine. Vollmer is the best guy to do it, so what a huge matchup and I’m sure he will be doubled, but what a win for the Patriots if they limit Ware getting to Brady.
