It’s time for Monday doughnuts for the Patriots even after a loss because there was some good moments and players in Sunday’s game. And, yes, I know this isn’t Monday Morning but it just sounds better calling this that name.

1. QB Tom Brady:

He somehow managed to lead his team to 20 points behind an awful offensive line performance and no running game whatsoever and forced the game to overtime. He was without Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola and had zero help from Brandon LaFell. Brady relied on Keshawn Martin, Gronk, and White in the passing game. Brady threw the game tying touchdown pass to James White with just under 2 minutes left to play to force the game to overtime. Clutch is in his bones, no matter who’s on the field. He connected with Gronk on two fourth down plays on the drive as well, it was pretty special. Tom Brady is clearly not the problem with the offense, injuries and the OL are.

2. TE Rob Gronkowski:

The Jets knew the Pats were limited with weapons so they focused on Gronk, yet he still came through with two great fourth down plays to extend the game tying drive late in the fourth. He still went for 80 plus yards. If Gronk and Brady had help in this game from Amendola or Edelman, both out with injuries, the game wouldn’t have gone to overtime.

3. LB Jamie Collins:

What a day for Collins. He was the best defensive player on the field for either side. He had 8 tackles, 1 FR for a touchdown in the third to bring the Patriots back in the game and a forced fumble. He wasn’t the problem on the defensive side of the football, he gave it all he had.

4. WR Keshawn Martin:

He stepped up for the wide out group that was lacking, I’ll give him that. He will be a nice secret weapon for the postseason. Martin caught 7 passes for 68 yards and was doing a little bit of everything for the Patriots. Nice game for him. He’s begun to earn Brady’s trust.

5. DE Jabaal Sheard:

He was good yesterday with five tackles, 1 sack, and 1 FF. He’s really come along throughout this season. He’s only getting better too.
