The Patriots controlled the game from the first snap to the last in their win over the lowly Tennessee Titans.

The Patriots scored an opening drive touchdown behind Tom Brady’s arm. Brady connected with Gronk for the five yard touchdown and the Pats went up 7-0 and never looked back.

The Patriots next score would be a strip sack by Chandler Jones that Hicks recovered for a touchdown. Mariota was injured on the play and did not return to the game. The Patriots defense was very good today, and because of them the game never got close. The pass rush and pass defense were excellent, Logan Ryan was the only player who was not on his A game.

The Patriots had 5 total sacks, Chandler Jones led the way with 2 sacks. Collins had the best day with an interception and a sack. Butler also scored an interception on the day. It was a very nice defensive day for the top 6th ranked defense. Hicks and Sheard each had a sack.

The offense was kinda sleepy. They scored 14 points, both in the first half, the rest of the points were by the kicker Stephen Gostkowski who went 4/5 on the day. The second offensive score came in the 2nd quarter with 9 minutes left. Brady hit James White for a 30 yard score. White had a really nice day, so did Bolden and the new guy Joey losefa. losefa carried the ball 14 times for 51 yards.

The Patriots were able to win without the offense doing much which is pretty impressive, but Brady was without Edelman and Amendola. Amendola left the game in the 2nd quarter with a little over a minute left. I believe it was the knee again, which he’s been managing. The Patriots mostly used their ground and pound and kicking game to win the game and move to 12-2 on the season.

Patrick Chung and Dont’a Hightower left the game, I don’t think either injury is serious, more likely a move to be safe rather than sorry.

Game MVP: Kicker Stephen Gostkowski.

He was excellent today, despite one miss. He helped the offense put up 30 points and win the game with ease. He was their best offensive weapon.
