Look, there is NO need to overreact to the two losses for the Patriots or the offense or anything, especially since it doesn’t hurt the Patriots in the grand scheme of things and it’s actually a good thing. The Patriots are in a bit of a slump, especially on offense, right now and it’s better to lose and go through slumps right now rather than in January when it’s too late to fix things. Every team slumps at some point in the season and the Patriots are getting that over with right now, which is excellent news for the postseason because you don’t want to be too hot in Novemeber and early Decemeber, rather you want to be hot mid-December throughout January. This holds true for a team like Green Bay, they will be dangerous in the postseason despite their season struggles. Carolina has holes all over their team, but do they see it? No, they see 12-0 and if it they keep winning it will be harder for them to beat Arizona or Green Bay in the postseason. The reason why I say if Carolina keeps winning it will hurt them in the long run is because they won’t know what to fix and will continue to play the same way they have all season while postseason teams will be the best of the best with plenty of tape on the Carolina Panthers. The Patriots, with losses now and being in a slump for the past few games, will help them fix what’s wrong and get healthy before the postseason. Also, it may mean they get hot right when the playoffs begin. Basically, the Patriots will be better prepared for the postseason.

I’m not saying Carolina isn’t going to go 16-0 or 19-0 because they very well could. They may be the team that stays hot all season or never gets exposed, or maybe they continue to win while slumping and get reheated in the postseason or the Super Bowl. It could happen, it just hasn’t for any team yet, and it usually doesn’t.

But, this isn’t about Carolina and their quest, it’s about the bumps the Patriots have run into over the past two games and the few games before that when they were barely winning. The Patriots do this every year it seems, get hot, get cold and back hot again for a postseason run and this year doesn’t look to be any different. We know this is a very good team, but right now they aren’t catching the football, protecting Tom Brady, and he’s throwing a few too many interceptions, and most importantly¬†they are not healthy. Edelman and Gronk will be back and the Patriots will figure out the OL and the rotation before the postseason, it’ll work itself out, there just might be a few bumps and sluggish performances along the way. Brady will be more careful with the football once the postseason begins and onside kicks won’t be called in the 2nd quarter of games. The biggest and best thing to take away this season and during this sluggish period for the offense is the defense and how they look like a Championship defense. If you want to win a Super Bowl you have to have a pretty good defense with a pretty good offense. The Patriots have everything they need to win another Super Bowl, so don’t bother worrying about a sluggish offense or the back-to-back losses.

R-E-L-A-X like Rodgers told the Packers last year and move on to Houston.
