The Patriots will play the Eagles today at 4:25 pm inside of Gillette Stadium on Fox.
The Patriots are 10-1 and the Eagles are 4-7 heading into this game.
Check out the Eagles and Patriots capsule this week, HERE.
The Eagles on defense will try their best to apply pressure to Tom Brady and shut down Danny Amendola. The Eagles like to blitz a lot throughout the games, so look for that to be the focal point of the Philly defense.
The Patriots offense will try to use quick passes to Danny Amendola and Keshawn Martin. Amendola and LaFell have to step up to make up for Gronk and Edelman not being in the game. The Pats are short handed again, but look for the quick, short passes to play a big role within the offense. The Patriots may try to run the ball a lot more in this game against the 27th ranked defense. The Patriots will use the run game to set up play action and to neutralize the pass rush. It may be their number one focal point of the offense, run the ball.
The Eagles offense only works when the ground game is going, so they will try to do just that and they may be able to if Hightower or Collins isn’t in the game. The Eagles offense works in only two ways, run game and passes to the tight end.
The Patriots defense number one focus will be stopping the run and forcing the Eagles to the air and then taking away short passes to the tight ends. They will crowd the box and use Patrick Chung and Tavon Wilson on the tight ends and if their SS play out of their minds, it should be tough sledding for the defense.
