The Patriots play host to the always loud-talking Jets this Sunday in Boston at 1:00 pm.

You can catch the game on CBS.

The keys to the game for the Patriots and keeping their undefeated season alive are pretty obvious, but I will go over them anyways.

1. Stop The Run: There isn’t anything more important on the defensive side of the football this season than stopping the Jets run game. They have to force the passing game and force Ryan Fitzpatrick to beat them. They can not let Chris Ivory dictate this game. The run defense has been an area of weakness, but they need to play their best ball of the season on Sunday.

2. Protect Tom Brady: This game will be won by whichever team wins the battle in the trenches. Stop the run and protect Tom Brady, it’s really that simple, but that is much easier said than done. The Jets will be bringing in some gritty pass rushers and mixing up blitzes. Oh yeah, they have a great secondary on top of that, but any secondary is beatable by a great QB with time. So,¬†if the OL gives Tom Brady time, he will throw touchdowns.

3. Prevent the big plays: The secondary will get tested with big wide outs again, and this team has a knack for making big plays. They love hitting Decker or Marshall for big plays, so the Pats need to aim at preventing the deep plays and keeping it a short game. If they can make Ryan Fitzpatrick throw short and be perfect for 80 yards every drive, they will win the game. Fitzpatrick isn’t the kind of QB who can drive the ball consistently¬†80 yards with no big plays.
