The showdown between the East rivals begins in 3 days around 1:00 pm in Boston.

The one loss, Jets will try to hand the Patriots their first loss on the season, in order to prevent that, here are the three matchups the Patriots must win.

1. Jets DL VS Patriots OL:

The biggest matchup of the game and the most important one is in the trenches. Brady can do Brady things as long as he is standing, but if he’s constantly on the ground or getting harassed it will be a hard day at work for the 38 year old QB, who hopes to play 10 more years. The Patriots OL will face maybe their stiffest test yet this season against a nasty and gritty Jets line and blitzes. If they can hold up, the Patriots will win.

2. CB Darrelle Revis Vs WR Julian Edelman:

It isn’t the most important matchup, but it might the best one to watch on Sunday. Revis Island will try to hold Minitron captive on Sunday, or one would assume. That will be a fun one to watch, Revis’ skills against the quick and shifty Edelman. If Edelman wins the matchup, forget about it, it’ll be a long day for the Jets. I will also firmly believe that no corner in the NFL can or will stop Edelman.

3. LB Demario Davis Vs RB Dion Lewis:

This will be a key to the game, getting Lewis involved in the passing game against a shaky Jets linebacker core. Davis struggles to cover, so expect the Pats to attack him with a much faster Lewis in space over the middle. This will also go a long way in keeping the pressure off of Brady. Lewis needs a big game and to win this matchup.
