Tom Brady joined Dennis, Callahan & Minihane for his annual appearance on the Dennis and Callahan radio show on WEEI, earlier this morning.
They mention that people have noticed Tom Brady doesn’t talk to the media after games too long anymore, he usually cuts it off around 2 minutes, and he doesn’t do the prime time interviews for SNF anymore. So, they asked him why and his response was he’s conserving his energy.
“There’s a lot of requests and demand for my time,” Brady said. “I think since winning the last Super Bowl a lot of different things have kind of happened with my life, just in general. I think having a concerted effort to save as much energy as I can, when I can, where I can and to give my teammates opportunities to do some of the real cool things that I’ve had a chance to do over the course of my career. I’ve kind of done a lot of things over the course of my life and I get asked to do a lot of things. Some things fit into what my routine may be and other things maybe don’t. I think it’s great for my teammates to have opportunities to do like I said, do some of those things that they always ask me to do and in a lot of ways I feel like a lot of those guys should get a lot of attention also.”
Brady, who seemed a little disappointed after beating Indy on Sunday, told the guys he was happy about the win, but felt they left some plays on the field.
“Well, I said after the game I’m obviously happy we won and I think any time you score 30 points offensively it’s a pretty good night, but there’s some execution things we missed on a little bit,” Brady said. “I think we always want to be perfect out there. Football isn’t always necessarily a game of perfect. It was good enough. It’s good to be 5-0. The guys worked really hard to put ourselves in this position. We’ve won three tough road games — at Buffalo, at Dallas and now at Indy. It takes a lot of effort and the guys really matched the challenge and it was good to get a win.”
