The Jacksonville Jaguars will play the New England Patriots tomorrow at 1:00 pm EST on CBS.
The Jaguars will be looking for their 2nd straight win while the Pats are looking for their 3rd straight win.
The Jags will be an unfamiliar opponent for the Pats tomorrow.
The Jags run defense hasn’t been bad, but their pass defense has been. The Pats will look to throw a lot tomorrow against a team that’s ranked near the bottom in pass defense. They may try to run, but I think we are in for another pass-heavy game for the Patriots. Brady will look to his guys, Edelman and Gronk to move the offense. As long as the Pats are not overlooking the Jags and can protect Tom Brady, I don’t see why the Pats offense won’t be effective.
The Jags will try to get pressure on Brady and rely on their linebackers for needed turnovers, especially against Dion Lewis in the passing game. The Pats will counter their blitzes with quick passes to the running back and 2 step drops to Edelman and Gronk.
On defense, the Pats will look to bottle up Bortles in the pocket and make the big guy throw from there. They also want to get pressure on him, something the Jags haven’t been able to stop. The Jags love the deep plays and their WRs can and will make them dangerous to the Patriots tomorrow. Butler and Brown will have to shut down Hurns and Robinson and if they can the defense should look good. The Pats will protect against big plays and the mobile QB.
