It’s getting closer to when the Jaguars try to defeat the red hot Patriots in Boston on Sunday afternoon.
The Pats will look to go 3-0 while Jacksonville, tries to improve to 2-1 on the season.
Here are the 3 keys to the game for the Patriots.
1. Stop the Run: They have to do this on Sunday to beat Jacksonville. The Jags have big wide outs and a QB with a big arm so they want to make big plays, and to do that they will need to establish the run. If they can, they will setup playaction and deep passes, and that will be a headache for the defense. The offense for the Patriots have been pulling their weight, now it’s time for the defense to step up.
2. Stop the big plays: The defense has to be careful of the big plays and the big playmakers for Jacksonville. Allen Hurns and Allen Robinson are two really big, fast, and explosive playmakers. Tarell Brown and Malcolm Butler will have their hands full on Sunday. Also, Fletcher against the speedy Marquise Lee.
3. Establish the run: I would like to see the Patriots ground game in action. They haven’t really been needed on the ground, thus far, but eventually a solid run game will help out. Blount will probably see more action and Dion Lewis will continue to get big plays in the receiving game. A nice run game on Sunday will ensure the Jags don’t get to Brady and open up the passing game making it easy for the offense.
