The Patriots have asked for the reinstatement of Jim McNally and John Jastremski, the league confirmed today.

The NFL will review the request.

Jastremski was the Patriots equipment assistant while McNally was the team’s officials locker room attendant.
They were both suspended indefinitely by the Patriots after the Wells Report was released, an action the Patriots claim the NFL told them to do, which the NFL denies. But, the NFL will decide if they can return.

If they do get reinstated their will be certain rules for each employee, according to’s Tom Curran.

Jastremski is prohibited from having any role in the preparation, supervision, or handling of footballs to be used in NFL games during the 2015 season,” Curran wrote. “McNally is barred from serving as a locker room attendant for the game officials, or having any involvement with the preparation, supervision, or handling of footballs or any other equipment on game day.”

Tom Brady told WEEI’s “Dennis and Callahan” he would love for McNally and Jastremski to return to the team.

“None of those things are my decisions, but I feel terrible — like I said the other day — for what they’ve been put through, what their families have been put through, what my family has been put through, and what’s happened. I just feel terrible that they’re not with our team,” Brady said.
