Tom Brady’s court case against the NFL will be transferred from Minnesota to New York and that’s where the court room showdown will take place.
U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman has scheduled that Brady and the NFL appear in court twice in mid-August.
He told both sides the scheduled conferences for Aug. 12 and 19 “with your principles (including, without limitation, Mr. Goodell and Mr. Brady).” He also requested the parties “engage in comprehensive, good-faith settlement discussions prior to the conference on August 12.”
August 12th will be the day before the Pats open up preseason play against the Packers.
Brady’s lead lawyer, Jeffrey Kessler, said in his filing with Berman that the parties “agreed … to a final resolution of this matter prior to the commencement of the 2015 regular season would be in everyone’s best interest.”
Brady must be confident, wanting this to be over before the first game of the regular season.
