The Patriots hosted their third day of training camp and first day of full pads of the season.

Did Not Practice: QB Matt Flynn, WR Matthew Slater, WR Brandon LaFell, CB Justin Green, CB Derek Cox, LB D.J. Lynch, LB Dane Fletcher, LB Chris White, OL Ryan Wendell, DT Vince Taylor, OL Caylin Hauptmann, TE AJ Derby, DT Chris Jones, DT Alan Branch.

DL Dominique Easley and RB LeGarrette Blount returned to practice for the time this camp.

QB Jimmy Garoppolo took some first team reps for the first time this off-season and was 10-14 overall. He went 12-12 in 11-on-11s and 4-5 in 7-on-7s. He had a good day of practice.

QB Tom Brady was 16 of 17 during team drills, including 12-12 during 11-on-11s and 4-5 in 7-on-7s. Another solid work day for TB12.

The practice today was mostly focused on the running game, way more than the passing game, which has been a heavy feature the past two days.

Rookie offensive lineman Shaq Mason had an excellent day during 1-on-1s with the defense. He pancake Zach Moore and held up against everybody but Geneo Grissom.

DL Dominique Easley had a dominate practice, bursting through almost everybody. He’s quick and aggressive and just may, be getting back to his Florida hay day pre knee injuries.

TE Jake Bequette has made a nice transition from DE to TE. He had a couple of really nice catches today.

DE Eric Martin looked awesome during the 1-on-1 drills. He looked very quick and was hard for the OL to contain him.

RB LeGarrette Blount had the best day of anybody. In his return, he juked Jamie Collins and DE/LB Jabaal Sheard. Blount was excellent.

RB Travaris Cadet caught a deep touchdown pass from Jimmy Garoppolo. He had a very good day.

RB Tyler Gaffney had a rough day, getting stuffed during drills a few times. He did make some nice catches though.

Safety Jordan Richards made a great play by ripping the ball away from Scott Chandler. He’s had a really excellent camp.

CB Jimmy Jean, the very tall rookie corner, was very physical through practice.

CB Malcolm Butler was manhandled by Julian Edelman today and gave up a deep pass to Amendola. He did have a pass breakup against Tyms. He did have a good overall aside from giving up a few catches to Edelman and Amendola. He was sharp.

DE Trey Flowers was credited a non-contact sack of Tom Brady.

Patriots practice again tomorrow at 9:15 a.m.

I was asked on Instagram what time do fans show up to the practice, and anytime really, but the earlier the better. Lately, fans have been showing up a few hours ahead of time.
