Gronkowski’s New Book on Tom Brady – “I Thought He Didn’t Like Me”

Super Bowl XLIX: New England Patriots Vs. Seattle Seahawks

In a review of Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski’s new book “It’s Good To Be Gronk,” Gayle Fee of the Boston Herald reports that Gronk was star-struck by Tom Brady.

“Tom Brady, the legendary quarterback that I had been watching on TV since middle school actually introduced himself to me,” he writes. “I couldn’t know it at the time, but that would end up pretty much the nicest he was to me over the entire year. … If I made a mistake, Tom would blast me. In the meeting rooms he was super tough on me. I thought he didn’t like me.”

Of course, Gronk eventually realized it was because Brady wanted him to be great.

  1. Berdj J. Rassam says:

If Gronk stays healthy, works the middle of the field and helps in the red zone, Brady will like him just fine.
