The NFL network host a show called NFL’s Top 100 Players and have NFL players voting whose the best player going into the new season and tonight it showed a little flaw in the system.

Rob Gronkowski, the Patriots tight end, and the best tight end in the NFL came in at number 10 on the Top 100. That ranking shows he is the best tight end in the game and rightfully so. It’s a ranking I would agree with if players like Antonio Brown, and MarShawn Lynch wasn’t ranked ahead of him. All of those players are the best players on their respective teams, but none of them are as dominate as Rob Gronkowski. I’d choose him every time over those two. Andrew Luck was also ranked ahead of Gronk, and I get that for the reason he’s pretty much the biggest and only reason the Colts make the playoffs. I’m happy for Gronk though, number 10 suits him just fine.

You can watch Gronk’s Top 100 video HERE.   You should watch it because it’s funny and awesome!

Tom Brady came in at number 3 on the list, trailing only Aaron Rodgers and the number one player J.J. Watt.

I actually couldn’t believe that Watt was number one, but I’am happy for him. He’s the best defensive player in the NFL, he’s a good guy, and works hard, and I’m proud someone like him got that honor from his peers. I thought and wanted him to win the MVP this year, but this will do, although it doesn’t compare to the MVP award. He’s the best defensive player in the league, but lets not confuse that with the best player. If the Texans ever make the playoffs again and win a Super Bowl it will be because they finally found a QB. As good as JJ Watt is, a defensive player in today’s league will not be more valuable than a QB like Rodgers and Brady. He’s awesome though, and he and the Texans will be better, but in my personal opinion, I would have put him at number three.

Aaron Rodgers coming in at number two and being the highest ranked QB is understandable, but not this season. Tom Brady just won his 4th Super Bowl and to many cemented his legacy as the best ever, but he isn’t likable like Rogers and he has the NFL’s witch hunt Deflate Gate over his head, so it’s not surprising, but unfair. Rodgers has had a hard time getting back to the Super Bowl, but not Brady. Brady gets there with pretty much any team. Brady is the best QB in the game and it’s not a debate. However, Rodgers is the 2nd best and that’s not a debate either. I disagree but I won’t argue with how talented MR. Aaron Rodgers is.

Watt and Rodgers get the number one and two spot on the NFL Network’s Top 100, but Brady gets the ring.

Below is the complete top ten revealed on NFL’s Top 100 Players:

1. DE J.J. Watt.

2. QB Aaron Rodgers.

3. QB Tom Brady.

4. RB DeMarco Murray.

5. QB Peyton Manning.

6. WR Calvin Johnson.

7. QB Andrew Luck.

8. WR Antonio Brown.

9. RB MarShawn Lynch.

10. TE Rob Gronkowski.

There were four total Patriots to make the top 100. WR Julian Edelman came in at number 91 and CB Darrelle Revis came in at number 17. He made the list for his work done with the Patriots, though he’s a member of the Jets now.
