In 2013, WR Julian Edelman did not make the Top 100 list on the NFL Network last year, even after catching 100 passes and going over 1,000 yards on the season, but after winning the Super Bowl, the league noticed his talent.
Edelman has come in at number 91 this year on the NFL Network’s Top 100 players list.
Edelman caught 92 passes for 972 yards and 4 touchdowns in 14 regular season games. He added 26 catches for 281 yards and 1 touchdown in the team’s three postseason games. The one touchdown being the go-ahead touchdown with over a minute left in the Super Bowl.
During the show, current and former players present the player and talk about their skill-set. Teammates Patrick Chung and James Develin was chosen to talk about Edelman.
“You can’t cover him one-on-one,” Chung said.
Former Steelers defensive back, Ike Taylor and Raiders defensive end Antonio Smith spoke about Edelman during the segment.
“When Tom [Brady] needs a play,” Taylor said, “he’s going to Edelman.”
