Patriots release CB Kyle Arrington

The Patriots have informed starting corner Kyle Arrington of his release from the team, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss.

Reiss also mentions the Patriots could bring Arrington back on a new deal, that has NOT been ruled out.

Arrington was going to count $4.625M against the cap. He was set to earn $3 million this season.

The Pats will probably try to bring him back at a cheaper price, so we will see what happens.

If the Pats lose Arrington for good, this means they will have lost all 3 core corners from last year. Browner and Revis handled everything on the outside while Arrington handled the slot.

Arrington has been a very good slot corner for New England.

He’s 5’10 and 190 pounds.

The Pats remaining corners are Malcolm Butler, Bradley Fletcher, Logan Ryan, Robert McClain, Chimdi Chekwa, Dax Swanson, Justin Green and rookies Darryl Roberts, Jimmy Jean and Eric Patterson.
