The New England Patriots drafted Texas DT Malcom Brown with their 32nd overall draft pick at the end of the first round tonight.
Brown is a guy many were surprised he was even still on the board and the word “steal” has been used to describe this pick.
The Pats have loaded up with young talent on their line. They have Hightower, Collins, Mayo, Easley, Jones, Nink, Sheard, and now Brown.
Many reports were saying the Pats were trading out of the first round to the Texans but that was proven wrong a few minutes later when it was reported the Pats would take Brown instead.
The Pats have won the Super Bowl each time they have used their first round pick on a DT.
Congrats to Brown and welcome to Boston!
