Patriots sign CB Chimdi Chekwa


The Patriots have signed CB Chimdi Chekwa, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss.

He inked a one year deal with New England after the Raiders did not tender him.

He played for Ohio State and was drafted by the Raiders in the 4th round of the 2011 draft.

He’s 6’0 foot tall and 190 pounds.

He played in 10 games this season, recording 16 tackles and 2 passes defended. He started twice.

He has 51 tackles, 2 FF, and 0 interceptions in his career.

He’s a youngster with potential and an upside to him.

    Is this singing serious? Wonder what the Pats see in him that the Raiders don’t because if he’s not good enough for the Raiders to want to re-sign, not sure why he’d be good enough for the Pats.

      He might not make it through camp, it’s just a one year deal. They probably see the potential in him and wanna try him out throughout camp see if he’s a diamond in the rough.
