The New England Patriots and former Miami wide receiver Brian Hartline are showing mutual interest for each other, according to Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot.

She also reported that Hartline is willing to take less money to play for New England and Tom Brady, but will require more to play for the Browns and Texans (both showing interest as well.)

Hartline caught a combine 150 passes for 2,099 yards and 5 touchdowns during the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

He had a drop off in 2014 catching 39 passes for 474 yards and 2 touchdowns.

He’s 6’2 and 200 pounds and he’s 28 years old.

He can play outside wide receiver and slot receiver. He’s a big wide out with good speed and dependable hands.

The best thing about him is he knows how to run routes which is what New England is all about.

He makes sense for New England, especially if they let Danny Amendola go. He fits their system and what they want to do.

He’s a smart veteran guy that would be able to pick up the offense rather quickly and make an impact.

He has the potential to flourish under a good offensive team and QB.

The Pats are competing with the Texans, Browns, and Bears, and maybe the Colts for Hartline.
