New England Patriots Super Bowl Champs

Patriots Vs Seahawks: 3 Players To Watch

The Patriots travel to Arizona to neutral field to meet up with the Seahawks to find out who’s the best team in the NFL this year. The Pats are trying to win their first Super Bowl since 2004 and the Seahawks are trying to go back-to-back, being the first team to do so since the Pats did it in 2004.

The Pats can beat the Seahawks and if they can’t win this Super Bowl, I’m not exactly sure if they will again for a while, but they can and here are the 3 players that can ensure it happens this year, this time.

1. DT Vince Wilfork: The big guy in the middle will have his hands full along with the entire line and Dont’a Hightower. They have the biggest and possibly most important task on defense this Sunday and that is stopping Marshawn Lynch. Lynch is the heart and soul of that offense and if he’s going they do great, but if he’s struggling they struggle. So, stopping him is really what it comes down to. Lynch will be running into monsters like Wilfork and a huge linebacker in Hightower and they must step up this weekend. They struggled somewhat against Forrest during the Ravens game but played much better against Boom Herron. They have to stop Lynch in the running game and passing game, but especially the running game. They do that and they take away about 90% of the Seahawks offense. They can get gashed up the middle sometimes, but they can also bottle people up and they better be ready this weekend. They also have to spy Wilson because he can take off, I assume they will play him a lot like they did Andrew Luck. If the defense stops Lynch they can win the game.

2. WR Julian Edelman: He’s on here because if he can get open and move the chains the Pats will have a better chance of putting some points on the board. I think for the Pats to score and win they will go to the guys that got them there, Gronk and Edelman, and they have to bring their best game ever. They both need a good game, but especially Edelman. He’s short, shifty, and fast and if he can open over the middle and on slants the Pats can move the football. If he’s doing good along with Gronk the Pats are winning this thing.

3. OT Sebastian Vollmer: Let’s take away Michael Bennett shall we Pats? This will be a big key for New England on Sunday, this and handling the Seahawks blitzes. They like to take away the other team’s number one guy and that’s Bennett on the DL. He’s a veteran, he’s got a motor, and he’s very smart, so Vollmer has to be on his A game. Taking him away is a big deal and protecting Tom Brady an even bigger one. It’s very important because if Brady’s protected he will move the ball on Sunday.
