Patriots Vs Colts: 3 Players To Watch

The Patriots defense will have their toughest test to date when they meet up with the Colts high powered offense in a Sunday Night Football Game for the ages.

The Patriots have handled Andrew Luck each time they’ve faced him, but he has more weapons now, and seems to be even better, which is scary, but the Pats defense has improved too. This should be a great game.

The Pats are looking for a huge road win, and here’s the 3 players that can deliver it.

1. TE Rob Gronkowski: Captain Obvious here. Gronk is very hard to stop and against the Colts secondary, he should have no problem getting open. As long as Brady is protected and the blitzes don’t get him down, Gronk should provide a big weapon for the QB. If Gronk can continue his dominate ways, he will help make it easier to beat the Colts.

2. OL Nate Solder: He’s gotta get his OL ready for Sunday Night Football and the blitz happy Colts. They don’t get a consistent pass rush, so they rely on blitzes. Solder, Stork, Vollmer, Wendell, and Connolly have to play exceptional. If they keep Brady upright, then he can pick apart a weak Colts secondary.

3. LB Dont’a Hightower: He played chess with Manning and won, now he’s gotta do it again but with Luck. He will have to get his guys in place before the snap and he will have to play great. He has to stop the run, get Collins to account for Bradshaw, rush the QB, and account for Luck’s mobility.
