The 2 – 1 Patriots will travel to Kansas to take on the 1 – 2 Chiefs Monday Night. The Patriots are looking for their 3rd straight win while the Chiefs are looking for their 2nd straight win.

The Chiefs struggled through the first two games, but looked good last week, handling the Dolphins to a tune of 34-15. The Patriots on the other hand, have struggled their way to wins in the past two games, moreso on offense. The Pats are looking to fine tune their offense while the Chiefs try to do the same thing.

Three matchups will be key in a New England win against Kansas City.

1. Pats OL Vs Chiefs DL: Big matchup, as it is every week for New England. Their offensive line has been bad this year, and that’s putting it nicely. They struggled to contain Oakland’s pass rush and Miami’s, and did okay against the Vikings, but they’re nowhere near good. Brady will not make the season if this continues, but the OL could have some nice changes coming on Monday Night. Bryan Stork, the rookie center, should get more snaps if not start Monday. He has played well when he’s on the field and that should boost middle protection for Brady. The biggest concern will be Nate Solder and if he can get back to pro bowl play because he’s been bad this year. He’s entrusted with protecting Brady’s blindside, but he’s been awful. Brady will need his guy to step it up tomorrow night. The Chiefs have pass rushers, especially from the DT spot. The biggest guy to stop for New England will be DT Dontari Poe

2. Patriots DL Vs Jamaal Charles/Knile Davis: The Chiefs will be bringing a two headed monster at running back in Charles and Davis. Charles struggled in the two games he played before missing last week, but we all know he could break out any second. Knile Davis has done great filling in for Charles. He has rushed it 55 times through 3 games for 214 yards and 3 touchdowns. Against the Dolphins, the Chiefs got back to what has made them good, and that’s running the ball. They rushed Davis 32 times in that game for 134 yards and a touchdown. The Chiefs will run the ball against New England, so New England has to stop it in order to win. If they can make the Chiefs one-dimensional and take away the tight ends, they should win the game.

3. Jamie Collins/Duron Harmon Vs Travis Kelce: Linebacker and Safety play against this tight end will be crucial for New England to keep the Chiefs out of the end zone. Kelce has emerged as the guy for Alex Smith, standing 6’5, he’s no easy task to cover. He has 10 catches for 166 yards and a touchdown through 3 games. Also, the Chiefs have another capable tight end Anthony Fasano, who has 8 catches for 91 yards and 1 touchdown. The Pats need to shut down the Chiefs tight ends to make sure all of the pressure is on Smith and his receivers.
