The Patriots announced Thursday morning they’ve released veteran tight end Ben Hartsock.

The team signed Hartsock Sunday, after releasing tight ends Justin Jones, and Asa Watson.

The team announced they also waived tight end Terrance Miller with an injury designation, who they signed at the same time they signed Ben Hartsock. Steve Maneri was another one they signed Sunday, and he’s still with the team.

Maneri’s currently the only healthy tight end on the team along with Gronk.

Michael Hoomanawanui and D.J. Williams is sidelined with unknown injuries.

Williams seems like the only one who will be a legit pass-catching tight end behind Gronk, while Hoomanawanui is the blocker.

James Develin, the team’s fullback, has seen some snaps at tight end.

I’ll have more on the Patriots tight end situation tomorrow.
