Patriots sign some more undrafted defensive players

The Patriots added to their list of undrafted NFL rookies to their now total number of 15 players.

The Patriots signed strong safety Shamiel Gary out of Oklahoma State. Gary compiled 119 total tackles, 15 pass deflections, and two interceptions.

The Pats added to their line play by signing DT Seali’i Epenesa from UCLA. In four seasons, Epenesa had 45 total tackles with one sack.

The Patriots signed their first undrafted WR in Ja-Mes Logan, who played college ball for the Ole Miss Rebels. Logan is 6’3, 183 pounder, who totaled 136 catches for 1,734 yards and six touchdowns over his 4 year career with the Rebels.

The Patriots added RB Stephen Houston out of Indiana. In 489 career touches, Houston averaged 6.1 yards per touch, including 29 touchdowns.

The Patriots signed LB Deontae Skinner out of Mississippi State. Skinner compiled 202 total tackles, including 18.5 for a loss, during his collegiate career. He had only one sack.

They signed safety Jeremy Deering from Rutgers. Deering played three years as a receiver in college before switching to defensive back his senior year, he had no stats in those 5 games. He did return 41 kickoffs in his career for a 26.8 yard average and one touchdown.
