The New England Patriots survived a brutal 2013 season in which they had to endure numerous injuries, yet they still went 12-4 and found a way to reach the AFC title game. Heading into 2014, the Patriots will undoubtedly have their sights on once again taking the next step and getting back to the Super Bowl, although it surely won’t be any easier than it was a season ago.
This time around, the New England Patriots schedule will boast some interesting road game battles, as they get to head out to Indianapolis to take on the Colts in one matchup, while also hopping on a plane to take on the Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers. While those three non-division road games won’t be easy, the toughest could be a contest in Green Bay, where they’ll have to take on a healthy Aaron Rodgers and his Packers.
New England normally takes care of business at home, but they’ll have some stiff tests in their own backyard this year, as well, as Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos return for another bout. That’s likely going to be their toughest (and most hyped) home game of 2014, but New England will also have two tough NFC matchups with the Bears and Lions.
