The Patriots are dangling WR Danny Amendola on the trade block one season after signing him to a 5 year deal worth $28.5 million with 10 million guaranteed, according to Dan Pompei of Bleacher Report.
Amendola missed several games due to a groin injury he suffered in the first game of the season and another game later on due to a concussion.
Amendola finished the season with only 54 catches for 633 yards and two touchdowns. A disappointing season to say the least.
If a trade can’t be made the Patriots could cut Amendola which would cost them $4.575 million against the salary cap, but save the team $6.8 million in dead money.
We will see if anything comes from this report, but it appears Amendola’s future with New England is in danger.
