Amtrak has produced a series of Super Memories 48 videos, which brings us intimate conversations with three football greats who share their experiences leading up to and playing in the Big Game.
Matt Light, former offensive lineman for New England and 3x World Champion, talks about his memories leading up to the Big Games he played in. Light played in five of these games, and he talks about the one moment that stands out from all the rest.
Matt also talks about what it will be like to play in the first outdoor, cold weather Big Game. Ironically enough, he’s rooting for cold weather, as he believes it’ll make the game that much more memorable. “Hey honey, remember that time I got frostbite?” The elements could contribute to game play, so it should be interesting to see how things play out.
Light reflects on this one time the Pats got stuck in New York City after a Jets game, and how the whole team went out afterwards to the meat packing district. But for him, it was the sights and sounds of Times Square that really did it for him. If you haven’t been and you’re coming to town for the Big Game, you’ve definitely got to check it out for yourself.
And of course, if you’re coming to NY/NJ for the Big Game this year, book your tickets with Amtrak to help you get around, as it’ll be a lot easier than dealing with those crazy drivers!
