Patriots CB Alfonzo Dennard assaulted a police officer in April 2012 and last February was convicted, and sentenced to two years of probation and 30 days in jail.
He was allowed to start serving his time in March 2014 during the Patriots offseason but last summer he was arrested on suspicion of DUI, which would be a violation of his probation.
Today, Lancaster County district court judge Stephanie Stacy refused to allow a continuance on sentencing for the probation that Dennard admitted to violating by drinking and driving.
The judge extended next year’s jail sentence by 30 days, added another year of probation and another 100 hours of community service, and added a no-alcohol condition, according to the Lincoln Journal.
Dennard’s 60-day sentence will start March 1, and if he remains on good behavior, he actually could be freed 35 days after that.
Stacy gave Dennard a warning as he was leaving the courtroom, “I want you to know this is your last chance.”
