The New England Patriots will face the Houston Texans tomorrow afternoon.

The Patriots are riding high after a big come from behind victory over the Denver Broncos and the Texans are reeling after a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Texans are capable of beating an emotionless, tired New England team if New England isn’t focused.

But I will break down the keys to a New England win tomorrow.

Stop the Run

– The Patriots have to stop the Texans running game and Ben Tate.

Tate is a good runningback and can have a big game if New England isn’t bringing their A game tomorrow. The Pats want to make the Texans a one – dimensional team and make them rely on the rookie QB Case Keenum to win the game and in order to do that the run defense has to stop the run.

The run defense will take center stage tomorrow.

No Huddle Offense

– The Patriots offense is better when they run the no huddle. They have to protect Tom Brady, and when they hit on a play they need to go fast. They pick up more yards, and score more points in the no huddle.

The no huddle offense is very hard for any team to stop and it will be the Pats best weapon tomorrow against a JJ Watt lead defense.

The Patriots will need to start off fast tomorrow so they can establish the no huddle.

Stop the deep passes

– The Patriots will need to make sure they do not get beat deep tomorrow. They will be playing without Dennard so Arrington or Ryan will need to bring their A game to slow down the rookie DeAndre Hopkins and keep the Texans passing attack in check.

The rookie QB Keenum is a gun slinger and he loves to go deep and throws a great deep ball so the Patriots corner will need to play great against the deep passes. I like Ryan better going against a deep threat than Arrington but whoever it is needs to match Talib who will probably do good tomorrow. They need to shut down their man because if the Pats can take away Keenum’s top two weapons they will probably seal the win.
