The cure for the Patriots offensive woes was the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Brady is now an impressive 7 – 2 against the Steelers and still hasn’t lost to them in the confines of Gillette Stadium.
The Steelers defense cured the ailing Pats offense as New England rolled to 55 points and Brady threw 4 touchdown passes.
The game started out with a Big Ben sack and fumble by Rob Ninkovich – 36th consecutive game that NE has forced a turnover, longest active streak.
After their quick three and out the Patriots were stuffed on a 4th and 1 attempt at the goal line. The Steelers were then backed up against their own endzone and Big Ben threw an interception to Pro Bowl worthy Devin McCourty. Patriots very next play, Brady hit Danny Amendola on a 34 yard wide open touchdown pass. Amendola finished the day with 4 catches for 122 yards and a touchdown.
The Steelers would attempt two 4th and ones and in the 2nd QT, the 2nd 4th down attempt was stuffed by Chris Jones and Jamie Collins, and the Steelers turned it over on downs.
Brady would go 19 yards deep 6 plays later to Rob Gronkowski for the touchdown and the first Gronk spike of the season. Gronk would finish with a career high 9 catches. Gronk also had a career high in yards in the first half (122).
Right before the half Big Ben would connect deep to WR Antonio Brown for the 27 yard TD over Alfonzo Dennard. But the Patriots would answer right back with a TD by Stevan Ridley with 24 seconds left before the half.
The score was 10 – 24 New England at the half.
The 3rd quarter wasn’t pretty for New England and the Steelers got the comeback started when Ridley fumbled a reception. Jeremy Cotchery would catch a 20 yard TD pass and Cotchery would finish with 3 tds against New England.
The Steelers would tie it quickly in the 3rd, 24 – 24.
The Patriots would kick a 32 yard field goal to take a 3 point lead.
To start the 4th quarter Brady would throw a beautiful back shoulder pass to Aaron Dobson for the score and New England increased their lead to 34 – 24.
Ridley would score a 5 yard touchdown run and went up 41 – 24.
From their own 19 yard line, Brady would throw a 81 yard touchdown pass to WR Aaron Dobson and breathing room with a 48 – 31 lead.
With less than 3 minutes left, LeGarrette Blount would have an amazing, rough, and tough 5 yard touchdown run for the final score of the game, 31 – 55,New England.

Safety Steven Gregory left the game with a serious thumb injury.
The defense sacked Big Ben 5 times.

Gronk was a machine on the field and the Steelers practically had no answers for him.
Gronk looked to be back in good form and caught 9 passes for 142 yards and a touchdown. Gronk’s presences changes a lot for New England and certainly helped in the win.
