Reports: Gronkowski not cleared to play

New England Patriots Tight End Rob Gronkowski has not been cleared to play Sunday by Dr. James Andrew.

Andrews is considered the most accomplished orthopedic surgeon in the world, but he didn’t operate on Gronkowski. Andrews is serving  as an independent physician charged by the team and player with determining whether Gronkowski is cleared to play.

Gronk has been practicing on a limited basis all week.

Gronk would help New England out in a big way if he could make his return this Sunday but a week 6 game isn’t a must win for a 4 – 1 team and Gronk shouldn’t risk his health.

Doesn’t mean he won’t be cleared by Sunday but it is looking bleak, but maybe he can, but his health comes first.

We need Gronk in December and January more than in October.
